Underworld actress Kate Beckinsale, 39, paid homage to her father, Porridge actor Richard Beckinsale, in Nottingham, accompanied by mother Judy Loe and husband Len Wiseman on Wednesday.
The actress became emotional as she unveiled a plaque dedicated to her father at his former school, College House Junior School in Chilwell, Nottinghamshire.
Richard Beckinsale, best known for his role as Lennie Godber in the BBC sitcom Porridge, died at the age of 31 in 1979 after suffering from a heart attack.
"It’s a real honour for the school to be a part of this special occasion, dedicated to the memory of Richard Beckinsale," said Headteacher of the juniour school, Mark North.
Kate and her mother unveiled the plaque together before the Pearl Harbour star took a moment to say a few words at the event.
Among the A-listers was The Queen actor, Michael Sheen, who is the father of Kate's daughter Lily, and David Walliams.
