During a radio interview on Tuesday, Jonathan Ross told the audience that his eldest daughter, Betty Kitten, is gay.
He was responding to a listener’s question on how he would feel if one of his daughters brought home a woman.
The 50-year-old said: "My eldest daughter is gay, so that's a question which I've dealt with on a regular basis already, which is, providing it's a nice woman, I'm thrilled."
Jonathan says 19-year-old Betty has made no secret about her sexuality, and that she has tweeted about it on numerous occasions.
"I just want them to be good, happy, stable people and so far, all three of them seem to be that.", says Jonathan about his children.
During an interview in 2009 the former BBC presenter was accused of homophobia after making - what some thought to be - inappropriate comments on air.
Taking to Twitter to defend himself, Jonathan said: "Am mortified to hear some people thought I was being homophobic on radio show.
"Nothing could be further from truth, as I am sure most know."
