Hollywood big gun Tom Cruise is on board to make a fourth Mission Impossible after agreeing to co-produce it with Star Trek director JJ Abrams.
It's not yet known whether Tom will reprise his role as agent Ethan Hunt or if a younger actor will step in to play a new lead. JJ Abrams, who directed Tom in the third movie, will apparently decide if he wants to direct to production after reading the script.
There were doubts over Tom's future with the action franchise after he fell out with movie studio Paramount three years ago. But it looks like bridges have been built between the 46-year-old and the organisation.
The new film has a potential release date of 2011.
