Plan B was a triple winner as he was rewarded for his songwriting prowess at the esteemed Ivor Novello Awards.
The rapper-turned-soul singer - real name Ben Drew - was named songwriter of the year at the event. His chart-topping release The Defamation of Strickland Banks was named best album and his single She Said was the year's most-performed track.
Accepting the prize, the 27-year-old said: "I'm not in it for the money. I loved making this record. I feel I've proved it to myself and this proves it to the rest of the world."
He added: "I just want to promise that world that I'm not going to put out music I don't like that some record label is forcing me to put out."
