After touching down in Ireland appropriately dressed in green, the Queen went one better with the outfit she chose to give her only public address of her historic trip to the Republic.
The monarch was elegant in a white gown featuring hundreds of white shamrock motifs and decorated with a glittering harp brooch.
And the finishing touch was her sparkling headwear – the girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara.
The impressive piece was given to the Queen as a wedding present from her grandmother Queen Mary. It had been purchased for her as a wedding present in 1893.
It wasn't just her outfit that drew attention – she also spoke the opening words of her speech in Gaelic.
