Four-day weekend marks royal wedding celebrations

Tuesday November 23, 2010

Good news for Britons - April 29, the date of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, will be a public holiday.

David Cameron and his cabinet agreed on Tuesday morning there will be a special bank holiday to celebrate the royal nuptials, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on a Friday.

And with the May Day holiday falling on the following Monday, the UK is in for a four-day weekend.
