'You are so special': Oprah's partner pays her tribute

Wednesday May 25, 2011

Oprah Winfrey's long-term partner Stedman Graham paid the chat show host a moving tribute on the final episode of her US show.

The 60-year-old took to the stage to say: "You are so special. I'm so proud of you. I love you for making the difference in my life."

"It really amazes me that I got to be around a woman who changes people's lives every day and who also takes her own lunch to work."

Stedman - who has been in a relationship with Oprah since 1986 - added: 'I can't believe that a coloured girl from the back woods of Mississippi has done all that you have done."

The show has been running for 25 years and came to an end with the 'Surprise Spectacular' - featuring celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Stevie Wonder and Madonna.

The last episode will air on Wednesday.
