The day before he began the Thanksgiving festivities at the White House, Barack Obama hosted his first official state dinner.
But it seems that the elegant affair, held in honour of the visiting Indian Prime Minister, had some unwanted guests.
Michaele and Tareq Salahi, an American couple from Virginia, somehow got into the party despite not being on the guest list.
The two, who reportedly are aspiring reality television stars and local socialites, posed for photos with the event's VIPs, including Vice President Joe Biden, news anchor Katie Couric, and Washington DC's mayor.
The images later appeared on Michaele's Facebook page, where she wrote "I was honored to be invited to attend the First State Dinner hosted by President Obama & the First Lady to honor India."
The US Secret Service is currently investigating the potential security breach.
