Olympic gymnast and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Louis Smith has apologised for tweeting that Sid Owen was out of the competition before it had been announced on the show.
After offering his commiserations to the contestant on Twitter, Louis quickly realised his mistake and deleted the comment.
Speaking to the Sun, the star said: "I couldn't believe I accidentally gave the game away about the result. The fans have been amazing to me and the last thing I'd want to do is ruin the surprise."
"It was such an emotional night and we were all exhausted. I just completely forgot for a second when I was tweeting but realised straight away and deleted it."
"I'm so sorry if I spoilt it for anyone, I won't be doing it again, that's for sure."
Louis, however, topped the table with his Halloween performance to Rihanna's Disturbia this weekend, and has high hopes for his samba for next week's performance.
He said: "Latin is very hard to get great scores for, so I'm really trying to work on the hip action."
