Coleen and Victoria urge their men on to triumph

As England fought off a strong World Cup challenge from Trinidad and Tobago, no one was prouder than the footballers' "wives" Coleen McLoughlin and Victoria Beckham.

When Wayne Rooney came on 30 minutes before the end, back from the metatarsal wilderness, his fiancée Coleen was determined to capture the moment, whipping out a digital camera to get some snaps. As the team secured a 2-0 win, the 20-year-old was beaming with pleasure at her beau's performance.

And, although Mrs Beckham now lives in Spain, no one could have been in any doubt over where her allegiances lay - the captain's wife stepped out in white hotpants and a red vest bearing the motto "England rocks".

Frank Lampard's Spanish fiancée Elen Rives couldn't resist supporting her man's team and was also looking stunning in England colours and shades.

Meanwhile Victoria's mother-in-law Sandra and David's sister Joanne held up seven-year-old Brooklyn and Romeo, three, so they could watch their dad play. While the two little boys followed the on-pitch action, they contentedly tucked into a bag of chips.
