As Katie Price and Peter Andre prepare to meet later this week to discuss their kids, Spice Girl Melanie B has stepped in as would-be peacemaker between the couple. The LA-based singer, who dated Peter 12 years ago, has urged the former pop star to reconcile with his wife of nearly four years.

"Pete should give Katie a second chance. Everyone deserves one," says the 33-year-old. "We have all made mistakes. I know my husband Stephen has done some crazy things in the past but I love him like mad, and he loves me."

She continues: "From what I know they are madly in love and love conquers all."

Meanwhile Katie - aka Jordan has admitted that though she still cares deeply for Peter, it might be time to move on. "I love my husband but I can't sit around crying," she told the Daily Mirror. "This is a new chapter in my life."

The 30-year-old model, currently in the Maldives with the couple's children Junior, three, and one-year-old Princess Tiaamii, reportedly phoned housekeeping staff at her Surrey mansion to tell them to pack up 36-year-old Pete's things ahead of his Thursday arrival in London. He's flying back from Cyprus, where he's been spending time with his family.

Designer clothes, family photos and CDs belonging to the Mysterious Girl singer have now been placed in storage.
