Russell and Katy split up in December after 14 months of marriage. In a statement, the 36-year-old comedian said: "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
The couple met at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2009 and married in a lavish ceremony in India in October 2010. But rumours of cracks in their relationship circulated right from the start as their respective careers meant they were rarely even in the same country.
Since their divorce was finalised in July they have rebuilt their lives. Katy Perry has been linked to Florence And The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, model Baptiste Giabiconi but is currently dating singer John Mayer.
Russell has been linked with several women including talent agent Isabella Brewster and Geri Halliwell.
The Spice Girl and the comedian, who met at the Olympics closing ceremony, were linked in September after they were spotted enjoying a handful of days out with Geri's daughter Bluebell in tow.
The former couple weren't the only ones enjoying some down time.
David Beckham, who usually attends basketball games with his three sons, was snapped in the front row with LA Galaxy colleague Robbie Keane and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine.
The 37-year-old footballer met Spanish player Pau Gasol who at 7ft towers over him.
Also at the game was actor Zac Efron who made headlines earlier this week after it was revealed he is auctioning his time in order to raise money for charity.
The 25-year-old will spend one hour with the lucky bidder and will raise money for organisation Communities in school, reports contactmusic.com.
The auction is being organised by website Charity Buzz and is expected to raise $5,000.
