Justin Timberlake has made a spectacular return to music with an hour-long performance on the eve of the Super Bowl. Leading the way for Beyonce's Super Bowl appearance the next day, the star sang to a crowd of hundreds in New Orleans, which was broadcast to the world on DirecTV. Looking dapper in suit and bow tie, the artist performed his latest single, Suit and Tie. Wowing hundreds of fans for the concert, Justin was joined by rapper pals Jay-Z and Timbaland for his rendition of the hit track.

As well as performing his latest, JT revived his popular back catalogue, featuring hits such as Sexy Back and Like I Love You. It seems that his performance, however, also caught the eye of another global superstar. Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell were seen greeting the singer backstage after the gig. Looking thrilled to be in the company of The Beatles legend, Justin posed for snaps with the pair alongside his newlywed love Jessica Biel.

Ordinary People singer John Legend also greeted the Rock Your Body singer backstage and was accompanied by his loved-up model fiancé Christine Teigen. Immersing himself in his music career once more, Justin broke the announcement of his return to music in his own unique style. Releasing a teaser which detailed him walking to a recording studio in January, the 32-year-old described his exhausting relationship with music, claiming it was "physical torture". Justin said, "I'm the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it." He added, "As close as I get to it, I don't know that I can physically torture myself year in and year out and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does, and the way that it is right now. I don't want to put anything out that I think is something I don't love." Moving from a hundred to a thousand-rich audience, Justin will be performing more tracks from his upcoming album 20/20 Experience for the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
