"I regret this one on my wrist here," said Harry, speaking to We Love Pop and pointing to a tattoo on his left wrist. The inking is of a small padlock that Ed had designed and tattooed for the One Direction singer.
"There are some that my friends have done and some that are just awful," said Harry.
Robbie Williams clearly agrees and has previously admitted that while he's had some bad tattoos done in the past, none are quite as "horrendous" as One Direction's.
"I'm in the One Direction bad tattoo club," said Robbie. "I have bad tattoos — so do they. They're winning. They've got some horrendous ones."
Harry and his band mate Zayn Malik are both tattoo aficionados and started the inking craze. Harry is said to have the most with around 40 inkings.
His more unusual designs include a 99p on his wrist and a "Hi" on his upper left arm, but others that have caught a lot of attention from his fans are the large etchings on his chest — one of a butterfly and another of two swallows.
"I like that kind of style of tattoo, like the old sailor kind of tattoos," Harry said. "They symbolise travelling, and One Direction travel a lot."
Meanwhile, Harry and his fellow band members have recently appeared on the cover of GQ, and in an interview with the magazine, Harry addressed the constant speculation over his sexuality.
Despite his reputation as being a bit of a ladies' man, rumours have run wild that Harry and radio host Nick Grimshaw were an item.
"Oh, really? I didn't even know," said Harry, laughing off the rumours. "We're not dating, no. We're just friends."
When quizzed further over his sexuality, Harry said, "Bisexual? Me? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm not."
Harry has enjoyed a series of high-profile romances in the past, with women including Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.
He was recently linked to British model Kara Rose Marshall, 22, whom he met through a mutual friend. The couple were spotted on a string of dates in New York earlier this month.
