Kanye West has reportedly spent £776,000 on an armoured car to keep his girlfriend Kim Kardashian and their newborn baby North West safe.
The notoriously private rapper, who is determined to keep his daughter out of the spotlight for as long as possible, is said to be leaving "nothing to chance" as he doubles his efforts to protect his family.
"Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile that they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths," said an insider. "He aims to leave nothing to chance. His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim's, before he begins his US tour in October."
The Yeezus rapper has fully embraced his new parenting role and recently returned from his holiday in Greece after spending just two days away from Kim and baby North.
Kanye was seen taking a luxury boat ride on the Aegean Sea as he relaxed after promoting his latest studio album in Greece, but the rapper didn't look like he was enjoying the trip.
"Everyone around him seemed to be enjoying the day, laughing and joking, but Kanye kept to himself," said an onlooker. "He didn't seem to be having much fun."
While Kanye has been spotted gallivanting around the globe, making appearances in New York and lately Greece, he has been on the move to promote his album and in effect, support his family.
"Everything he does is for Kim and the baby," an insider told HollywoodLife. "So when he jets out, believe me, it's for something that's got a lot of money attached — and that money is for his family."
