Paris Jackson to fly home and spend Christmas with family
23 DECEMBER 2013Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has reportedly left her boarding school where she has been recovering in Utah to join her family for the Christmas holidays.
The 15-year-old will be joining brothers Prince and Blanket, along with many of her cousins, for a family holiday in Hawaii over the festive period. She will then spend some time at her grandmother's home in Calabasas before heading back to Utah.
"The family doesn't want Paris to spend her entire winter break at home because they don't want her getting comfortable," a source told E! News. "The family thinks Paris will try to talk her way into staying home after showing the family she's gotten better."
"Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away," she quoted from the Beatles' song Yesterday. "Now it looks as though they're here to stay." Her previous tweet read, "I wonder why tears are so salty".
The month was particularly emotional for the teen as it marked the fourth anniversary of her legendary father's passing in 2009. She had also started forging a relationship with biological mother Debbie Rowe, who gave Michael sole custody of their children after they divorced in 1999.
"My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and support," Debbie tweeted on the behalf of Paris. "She is strong like her father".
Paris has since been staying in Utah where grandmother Katherine Jackson, who has permanent custody of Prince and Paris following Michael's death, says she is "doing much better", and her treatment is "going good, really good". Paris has reportedly been talking to her grandmother every week on Skype, along with brother Prince.
