Dermot O'Leary in 2013
Beloved TV presenter Dermot O'Leary first came to fame in the early 2000s first as a presenter on T4 and later as the presenter of Big Brother off-shoot, Big Brother's Little Brother.
But his first love was radio, and for several years he was a DJ for local radion in Essex.
He later joined XFM for a mid-morning show before moving to the BBC in 2004 where he presented an afternoon show on Saturdays for Radio 2. He still presents his radio show and now focuses on new and live music, and his shows have included live sessions from bands as big and diverse as Oasis, Massive Attack, and Lily Allen.
In 2007, Dermot was tapped to take over hosting duties from Kate Thornton on ITV's flagship Saturday night show, The X Factor.
He was reportedly only to host for two seasons, and at the time said: "I was very flattered to be offered the job to host such a hugely successful show. I'm really looking forward to working with Simon Cowell and the team on the kind of Saturday night entertainment show I grew up watching."
Dermot's popularity and success as a host however ensured that he kept the job and is still the show's live host on Saturday nights.
In 2012 Dermot married his long-term girlfriend Dee Koppang.
