Happy birthday, Dougie Poynter! As the McFly guitarist celebrates turning 27, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Dougie, and you...
This is what Dougie Poynter who is a Sagittarius, can be expecting today...
When people are reluctant to discuss 'an elephant in the room', we must wonder why. Might it simply be because if it were acknowledged, it would lead to questions like, how did that elephant get into the room in the first place? How did it pass through the door? And if it came in long ago, as a tiny baby elephant, and has been growing ever since, how can anyone ever hope to get it back out again? Or perhaps the room has a very large pair of French windows. The solution to a problem may not be as obtuse as you fear.
Dougie Poynter shot to fame in 2004 as one quarter of British pop punk band McFly. Playing the bass guitar in the band, Dougie studied at the Gable Hall Performing Arts School before joining Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, and Danny Jones in a new British band at the age of 15.
It was a successful end to a trying year for Dougie, who at the end of 2010 had split for a second time from The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, and earlier in 2011 had entered rehab for depression, and substance and alcohol abuse.
In 2012 Dougie and McFly bandmate Tom published their first children's novel, The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas. It was so successful that a year later they released the sequel, The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet.
Dougie has been dating singer Ellie Goulding since early in 2014, putting an end to the rumours while during ITV2 documentary Fearne and McBusted.
"Yeah. All is good in that area," he shyly admitted to Fearne Cotton when Fearne quizzed him on whether he was in a relationship with Burn singer Ellie, 27.
