David and Victoria Beckham keep close at London theatre awards following Saturday's car accident

David Beckham stepped out with his wife Victoria for the 60th London Evening Standard awards held at the Palladium on Sunday evening. The football star looked as handsome and relaxed as ever despite having been involved in a car accident just the day before.London's power couple were dashing as they graced the red carpet to pose together. David was dapper in a navy suit with black lapels and matching black bow tie.

Fashion designer Victoria, who stayed close to her husband throughout the evening, opted for one of her own designs with a strapless two-tone black longline gown. The simple yet stunning silk and wool blended bandeau number showed off her svelte figure beautifully. The mother-of-four completed her dazzling look with diamond and sapphire drop earrings and a matching cocktail ring.

Smokey eyes, nude lips and her brunette tresses over one shoulder were the final touches. The pair playfully posed for photos and held hands before being joined by Victoria's close friend US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey and Evening Standard owner Evgeny Lebedev.

David was clearly on fine form after he and his son Brooklyn were involved in a car accident on Saturday outside Arsenal’s training ground in Hertfordshire. According to reports the pair were left "shaken" but escaped serious injury after the airbags were deployed in David's Audi.

Arsenal under-16s team member Brooklyn had just finished playing in a match against Brighton's under-16s. The father-son duo were just leaving when their car collided with another vehicle.

A source close to Victoria's husband said: "They were shaken. It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed but everybody walked away uninjured. Everybody's fine. Thankfully the car's airbags deployed."
