Denise Van Outen granted 'quickie' divorce

Denise Van Outen has been granted a 'quickie' divorce from her estranged husband Lee Mead. The couple split up in July 2013 – and on Tuesday they formally ended their relationship at the Central Family Court in London. Denise's divorce petition was heard by Judge Heather MacGregor, appearing 11th in a list of 18.Denise, 41, and Lee, 34, were married for four years and are parents to a five-year-old daughter, Betsy. They remain good friends. "I've no regrets about getting married to Lee at all," Denise said in a recent interview with Fabulous magazine. "He's such a lovely person.

"There was no big fall out and we got each other through really. We're friends so we supported each other. "The TV star now has a new man in her life – she has been dating 42-year-old stockbroker Eddie Boxshall since summer 2014.Denise and Lee met in 2007 when he won the TV talent show Any Dream Will Do, which Denise was a judge on. The couple announced their engagement on 29 January 2009, and were married in the Seychelles in April of that same year.

Their split came after months of speculation about their marriage, with the pair leading increasingly separate lives because of their busy work schedules. Prior to their separation, Denise described their relationship as being "like passing ships in the night"."To be honest, it is really difficult," she told Now magazine. "We just haven't seen each other. I started on Strictly in September and we've been like passing ships in the night. I'm not going to lie, it's been a massive strain on the relationship."
