And it looks like Katie’s young daughter, Suri, has inherited her mum’s good looks. Earlier in the week, the doting mum, 38, posted a picture of her ten-year-old hanging out in LA with two of her older cousins, showing Suri looking very grown up as she sits on the shoulders of one family member. "Love those sweethearts who inspire me with all of their accomplishments and beautiful hearts and for bringing so much light to all our lives! #lalaland #losangeles #family #love #ontopoftheworld," Katie captioned the photo.

The proud mum recently posted a photo of her lookalike daughter, Suri, enjoying time with her cousins

Katie, who shares Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, recently opened up about her decision to move from acting to directing for the sake of her daughter. "This business is so unstable, and you never really know where you're going to be," she told Town & Country magazine. "The thing about directing is I can say I have this window and that's when we're getting it done. My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now. It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."

The hands-on mum also seems to be a dab hand in the kitchen. Talking to People magazine last year, she said: "I like to make a nice breakfast and start the day calmly. I like that time with my little one before school." When it comes to dinner time, Katie also revealed that she tends to stick to her and Suri's favourites. "I like making pasta and lasagne; I usually follow Mario Batali recipes," she said. "[Suri] has her favourites, like most kids. I don't really have any tactics to help [with fussy eating]. I think like most parents you make the stuff you know they like, and every once in a while you introduce something new."
