WATCH: Shakira and boyfriend Gerard Piqué put their love on display in new music video

by hellomagazine.com

Relationship goals! Shakira's latest music video doesn't just feature her new song, but the strong love she shares with her boyfriend, Gerard Piqué. Released this weekend for her single Me Enamoré, the video shows the Grammy-winning singer and her athletic companion heating up the screen while on an epic adventure. From trashing hotel rooms to jumping off a plane, the pair seem to be head over heels for each other.

Me Enamoré (which translates to "I fell in love") dropped only a day after the superstar announced the title of her upcoming album, El Dorado. The video for the song kicks off with a close-up shot of Shakira waking up in a messy hotel room. While at first it seems like the 40-year-old performer is alone, her Spanish boyfriend is soon revealed. In an innovative filmmaking choice, Gerard, who plays football for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team, was made to be the cinematographer. The whole project was filmed from the 30-year-old's point of view, as he spends a crazy day with his love.

Gerard wore heavy-duty equipment to make the look happen. In a behind-the-scenes video, shared on Shakira's Instagram page, the footballer can be seen with a camera strapped to his head and an enormous light around his chest. "Look what I do to my favorite cameraman!" the singer wrote, publishing the snippet 90 minutes before her music video went live. Eventually, Gerard’s face is seen, adoringly gazing at his beloved girlfriend. The duo concluded the video on a sweet note, sharing an adorable kiss.

This is not the first time Shakira and Gerard have been on a music video set together. In fact, the power couple met while filming the Columbian singer's Waka Waka video, which was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Afterwards, E! News reported that Gerard vowed to see Shakira again, saying: "I am going to win this World Cup so that we can see each other at the finals." The stars share two sons together, 4-year-old Milan Piqué Mebarak, and 2-year-old Sasha Piqué Mebarak.
