The stars, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, were all at the London event to celebrate the release of James Cameron's much-hyped £300 million blockbuster, as was the creator himself.
But if all that excitement wasn't enough, there was also some news hot off the press about Amy Winehouse and her reported rekindled romance with Blake Fielder-Civil.
Dionne Bromfield – the Back To Black star's goddaughter – was one of the British stars at the premiere, and she confirmed that Amy has ended the relationship with her ex for good.
"They are definitely not back together. Amy met Blake to call things off, no other reason," the 13-year-old revealed.
"She's single, she's not with him. She can do so much better than him."
Back on the blue carpet, and the epic's leading ladies brought plenty of glamour to Leicester Square.
Defying her 60 years, Sigourney, who stars as a botanist in the film, made the most of her figure in an off-the-shoulder long black dress – hotly tipped to be next season's big trend.
Star Trek's Zoe shimmered in a gorgeous silver dress. She stars in the movie as computer-generated blue alien Neytiri, created using the actress' facial expressions, movements and speech.
Avatar uses both live action and CGI to create the fictional planet of Pandora, inhabited by a race called the Na'vi.
Former marine Jake Sully – played by Aussie hunk Sam Worthington – is given the chance to experience Pandora where he meets Neytiri and begins to fall in love.
He then finds himself caught between two worlds as the human race begins to pillage the alien planet for resources.
The film was first conceived by Terminator director James 15 years ago – just before he made his multi-Oscar-winning flick, Titanic.
