The EastEnders star, 50, performed against Waterloo Road actress Zaraah Abrahams in a dramatic skate-off.
"I'm so, so glad I was invited back and you made me feel so welcome," said Todd as he prepared to leave the ice. "Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart."
The actor's exit came as no surprise to most of the audience and viewers at home, as all four judges looked ready to save Zaraah.
"Zaraah, you were pure poetry in motion," said judge Jason Gardiner. "Todd you're like a derailed locomotion."
"What a great excuse to see two memorable routines but Todd, it was great that you visited but it’s time to go," said judge Karen Barber.
Harking back to his 2009 routine when Todd accidentally skated off the rink on in series four, Todd performed the same dance again to McFly's Help. This time around, his partner pushed him off the rink, much to the audience's amusement.
Zaraah and her partner, meanwhile, delivered a majestic performance to Diamonds and Pearls.
It looked as if Todd knew he was going to leave the show, as he spoke to presenter Christine Bleakley just before the showdown.
'I'm not surprised at all and I don't think anyone else is either," joked Todd about being in the bottom two. "Don't watch this space."
