Get trim like Tom with strict – but swift – fitness regime
Boot camp's for boys now, too
06 JANUARY 2009
British men can look trim like Tom thanks to the opening of the UK's first Male Boot Camp
On the promotional tour with new film Valkyrie, Tom Cruise has been looking decidedly slimmer and more in shape than of late – having already apparently lost 10lb thanks to a regime devised by friend and neighbour David Beckham last autumn.
But for those of us without the benefit of a world-class soccer star next door, there comes hope in the shape of boot camp, with the first one for men opening its doors this month.
The New You Boot Camp - which has already attracted the likes of Jade Goody and Michelle Heaton when they've been in need of a short, sharp shock that sees pounds and inches disappear in days - is holding the UK's first Male Boot Camp from January 16-23 in the Brecon Beacons.
A week-long residential course, it combines strict diet and intense exercise with the intention of burning fat and increasing strength, stamina and energy under the tutelage of military personal training instructors. It's tough, but it works.
Prices start from £1100; visit www.newyoubootcamp.com for further details.
