Scent selection: Where not to wear scent

by hellomagazine.com

According to Professeur de Parfums Roja Dove, to make the most of expensive perfume, it's important to know where not to apply it as well as the best hot spots…

Avoid 'the forbidden triangle' along the jawline to the ears and down to the cleavage. There are few sebaceous glands on the skin and therefore no lubrication to make the most of the scent, plus the area's open to light and sun which degrade the scent.

Just as importantly, the skin ages quicker around this area – mainly because of those reasons – and as scent contains alcohol, it can add to the ageing process. And behind the ear is too oily, which will affect the composition of the scent. Instead, pump four or five spritzes over the naked body.
