Stephanie lends her voice to charity CD

Princess Stephanie is reviving her pop career for a worthy cause. The colourful royal - who enjoyed short-lived musical success in the Eighties with a track titled Comme Un Ouragan (Like A Hurricane) - will team up with some of France's top musical talents to release a single to benefit Aids sufferers.

On Tuesday Stephanie was busy on set in Paris, shooting the video for a song called L'Or De Nos Vies, which translates as "the gold of our lives". Looking upbeat as she mingled with the crew and extras, the 41-year-old princess seemed quite at home with the showbiz process.

Joining her on the CD is Benabar, who is a well-known singer-songwriter on the country's music scene, as well as handsome Algerian-born crooner Patrick Bruel. A multi-talented performer, Patrick combines acting and singing with stints as a professional poker player. His last foray into the pop world was a 2002 album which sold two million copies.

Their song has been penned by Kyo, a French rock group, who take their inspiration from outfits like Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Proceeds from the princess' efforts will go to Fight Aids Monaco, an organisation headed by her brother Prince Albert.
