Cheese lovers, mark 13 November in your diaries - that's the day that a halloumi restaurant is launching in London! Cyprus Tourism Organisation is paying homage to their national cheese with a pop-up restaurant in the capital, but you'll have to get in quick as it is open for one week only.

STORY: The best restaurant in the world has been named - and it's in the UK!

Located in Hoxton in partnership with 100 Hoxton, the eatery is a cheese fanatic's dream, with all of the dishes on the menu - both sweet and savoury - containing halloumi. Executive chef Francis Puyat has created an array of halloumi-inspired dishes for the occasion, with everything from crumbed halloumi fingers to halloumi ice cream, all washed down with Cypriot cocktails.

So what else is on the menu? Dishes include Halloumi and cauliflower fritters with a lime pickle yoghurt, a fresh grilled courgette and halloumi salad, chargrilled halloumi flatbread with butternut & dukkah spices, along with crumbed halloumi fingers and that unusual-sounding halloumi ice cream, which the organisers promise will be "the best" - or perhaps the only - "you will ever taste".

However you don't have long to visit; the restaurant is only open from 13-19 November 2017, with dinner reservations available between 5-10pm Monday to Friday, plus brunch on Saturday and Sunday between 11am-3pm.

You may even spot a famous face in the crowd while you're there; Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis, who was born in Cyprus, said he's passionate about Cypriot cuisine, and is sure that visitors to the restaurant will become big fans too. "Cyprus and its food are true passions of mine and the pop up restaurant will bring the delicious Cypriot cheese, halloumi, to every dish on the menu...even the dessert!" Theo said. "I'm sure many other people will fall in love with the Cypriot national cheese once they've tried it – and perhaps even visit Cyprus to discover the rest of the island's delicious cuisine and wine."
