Kim, 32, was a first-time presenter at the Sunday awards show and introduced Selena Gomez's performance of her new single, Come & Get It.
The designer, who is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Kanye West in July, was accompanied by her half-sister Kylie Jenner.
The youngest Jenner, 15, looked very mature in a white crop top, cream-colored pencil skirt, and matching heels.
Kim's evening out comes just two days after the star was supposed to come face-to-face with estranged husband Kris Humphries at an LA court divorce meeting.
The former couple, who wed in a lavish wedding in 2011 and separated 72 days later, were due to meet to try and agree a settlement to avoid their divorce case going to court, but Kris did not show up.
The basketball player's failure to appear in court could result in a fine. A Superior Court judge has set another hearing for 19 April in Los Angeles in which it will be announced if Kris should be fined for not appearing at the mandatory settlement hearing.
Kris's lawyers, who attended the hearing, said that no settlement was reached and that a trial is still scheduled for 6 May.
The NBA player is seeking an annulment of the pair's 72-day marriage, claiming it was based on fraud.
Papers filed by Kim's lawyer Laura Wasser state that Kim will testify that she "did not defraud (Humphires) into marrying her". Her mother Kris Jenner is expected to show "communications with the parties regarding their relationship" to corroborate Kim's assertion.
Keeping Up With The Kardashian's longtime producer Farnaz Farjam has also been listed to show that "no conspiracy to defraud" the NBA star existed.
