Jeremy Clarkson turns 54: Find out what's in his stars...
11 APRIL 2014
Happy birthday Jeremy Clarkson! The controversial television presenter turns 54 today and to celebrate, HELLO! Online take a look at his stars…
Ask questions this weekend. Don't assume you already know all the answers and that you thus are unlikely to hear anything unexpectedly enlightening. Consult the folk who may know what you don't know. Explain yourself, share your hopes and confess your fears! Nearer than you think is someone who can help you more than you know. But this person isn't a mind-reader. They need a hint, a suggestion, an invitation. Provide them with that and you may yet be pleased by what they, in turn, can point you towards.
Born in 1960 in Yorkshire, Jeremy Clarkson is famous for presenting the BBC’s hit show Top Gear but the 54-year-old actually began his career as a print journalist, writing for local newspapers in North England.
He showed an early love for cars, forming the Motoring Press Agency in 1984 and joined a new BBC show called Top Gear in 1988.
The show ran for 12 years until 2000 when it was cancelled but it was bought back to life in 2002 with Richard Hammond and James May co-presenting with Jeremy.
The three were credited with its international success, and the show is now broadcast in over 100 countries around the world.
Jeremy is known for his strong opinions on road safety which have often resulted in criticism from various groups including political parties, private companies and the public.
As well as often guest presenting television show, he is also now a columnist for The Sun and The Sunday Times, and has written more than ten books, focusing mostly on cars and motoring.
