The latest addition to the HELLO! and HOLA franchise launched last weekend, with the first issue containing a mix of international and local stars, a host of stunning exclusives and an 'at home' shoot featuring Nigerian beauty Emma McQuiston with her British aristocrat husband, Viscount Weymouth.
The newest member of the HELLO! family joins an established group of magazines from all over the world including Spain, Russia and Mexico.
HELLO! Nigeria's launch party, held at Lagos' luxury Wheatbaker Hotel with 250 guests, kicked off the new venture in style. The VIP invitees included the First Lady of Lagos State, Abimbola Emmanuella Fashola, who had the honour of unveiling the African nation's first HELLO! cover.
"The proudest and most poignant part of our launch was to know that HELLO! Nigeria is part of a larger history and a long-standing tradition," said editor-in-chief Zandile Blay.
"Standing amidst all the covers from Argentina to Thailand, Canada to UK, made us feel - and rightly so- that HELLO! Nigeria, like our sister publications, is here to stay.
"The welcome we received — not just from celebrities and influencers in West Africa — but the leading brands and businesses of this town proved that HELLO! Nigeria is not just an exciting editorial enterprise, but an exciting business one as well."
